VR4Cognition

VR4Cognition is a joint platform for virtual reality projects of the Cognitive Neurology Lab Berlin at the Department of Neurology at Charité Berlin and Project B05 of the CRC 1315: Mechanisms and disturbances in memory consolidation: From synapses to systems.

Our research leverages computer-generated artificial worlds to study orientation, navigation, and spatial memory in healthy adults and patients with deficits in these abilities, including patients with autoimmune encephalitis, multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer’s disease. Together with our collaboration partners from psychology, technology, and clinical medicine, we aim to create cognitive assessments that better reflect the functional demands of everyday life and to improve our understanding of how the brain implements these crucial cognitive functions.
